ROLE PURPOSE
The OD Consultant will develop and oversee the implementation of holistic organizational development solutions that drive effectiveness and achieve the business objectives. Facilitate organizational development interventions and solutions that increase the effectiveness of the business and enable leadership and employee engagement to empower the business to achieve its objectives. Lead change management activities by ensuring that standardized methods and change management methodologies are used for efficient and prompt handling of all changes in the business in order to maximize the return on investment by minimizing the impact of change-related incidents upon productivity, production, employee retention and operations in a specific area.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS

- Deliver holistic organizational development solutions
- Facilitate and deliver value adding organization development interventions to address organizational development gaps in line with Momentum frameworks
- Ensure alignment between organization development interventions and the business’ objectives and employees’ personal goals and growth and ensure organization development integrates and supports the HC function.
- Deliver Performance Excellence change initiatives within area of responsibility. Facilitate initiatives that equip leaders throughout the performance cycle based on business requirements.
- Use psychometric assessments to inform interventions to build an effective organization and teams
- Use psychometric assessments to guide career progression engagements with leaders and employees to identify, deploy, motivate, and energize talent.
- Implement talent management interventions to build a sustainable pipeline to increase the size and competence of the succession pool at all critical levels within the organization in order to ensure long term strategy and the agility of the business to respond to the market and competitors
- Facilitate organizational effectiveness interventions to effectively manage conflict, build teams, create change agility, and build a culture that is aligns to business values.
- Coach, advise and provide tools to leaders to successfully lead change in their environment.
- Facilitate interventions that build an innovative, collaborative and client centric culture that supports business values.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement leadership development interventions in line with MMH leadership framework.
- Build and maintain effective business relationships with all key stakeholders by initiating and maintaining regular interactions.
- Facilitate team effectiveness interventions to increase collaboration, productivity, and work satisfaction.
- Act as trusted coach and advisor to leaders and employees in the business on organization development related issues.
- Provide one-on-one coaching to leaders to enable a unified values-based culture
Recruitment, Selection, Induction & Stay Interviews; Continuous learning, Onboarding and Vesting; Diversity & Inclusion, EE And Exit Interviews; Business Change & Transformation
- Improve the delivery and experience of the Recruitment, Selection, Induction & Stay Interviews, Continuous learning, Onboarding and Vesting processes through embed and reinforcing the experience
- Drive and Manage with the Head of Business Change and Transformation the Change work streams as the MDS Strategy evolves
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business strategy for the business area to inform change approach
- Utilize and develop key operational plans and assist with the successful implementation and support of those strategies
- Collate, analyze, and provide feedback and suggestions to drive innovation and improvement of processes, people, and systems
- Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of all business change within the designated area
- Inform the design, development, delivery, and management of change related communications within the area of change.
- Conduct impact analyses assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders to inform the change and execution plan.
- Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs, social support platforms, as well as organizational tools and information flow to build the required capability and support the adoption of the change
- Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics for the area of change to ensure the successful implementation of the desired change.
- Identify and manage anticipated resistance for the area of change by implementing various change management tactics.
Effective & Efficient Function
- Collaborate with HCBP team to facilitate and deliver value adding organization development programs and interventions to address organizational development gaps in line with Momentum frameworks.
- Partner with the HCBP team in initiating and improving the effective delivery of HCM solutions, while integrating and sharing best practices.
- Encourage the practice of Recognition
- EVP – Encourage, promote, and support the utilization of the EVP, including “wise and well”, to enhance employee wellness in the division
- Compile and submit organizational development scorecards, monthly reports and other related metrics as required.
- Keep abreast of trends, legislation, and best practices within the organizational development field to optimize service delivery
- Create a positive work climate and culture to energies employees, give meaning to work, minimize work disruption, and maximize employee productivity.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- Relevant Master’s degree and/or registration as an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with the HPCSA. Experience
- At least 5 years OD Experience within an insurance or financial services environment an advantage
- Experience working with senior leadership teams
- Coaching experience on an Executive level
- Extensive Assessment feedback and development experience.
- Must have facilitated engagements and interventions with individuals or groups that assist them in accomplishing their goals and business outcomes Knowledge
