Position: Reporting and Analysis Accountant

Salary: R 504 000 TCTC
12 month contract position
Description:
- Our client requires the services of a Cost Accountant in the Finance Department at their Johannesburg Head Office.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Preparation, review, investigation and reporting of Income Statement elements and Balance Sheet elements per product on a monthly, year-to-date and year-on-year basis against the prior month/ year and against budget/ forecast.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting on Income Statement elements and Balance Sheet elements trends and key drivers.
- Investigation and reporting of rate and volume variances/ movements of Income Statement elements and Balance Sheet elements through critical analyses of trends and key drivers.
- Preparation, review, investigation and reporting of Key Performance Indicators.
- Assist in the preparation, review, investigation and reporting of Annual Budgets and short, medium- and long-term Forecasts.
- Liaising with Budget Owners and Division Heads for information to complete Annual Budget & Monthly/ Quarterly/ Forecasts.
- Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- General Analysis for Income Statement elements and Balance Sheet elements as well as processes of preparation and analysis.
- Conducting Departmental Management Account review meetings and providing feedback.
- Assist in the financial aspect of any existing project.
- Signatory for payments.
- Support business with costing of projects, services and business functions as well as other ad-hoc functions.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer service levels in all areas of the business involved in.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant 3 Year Degree completed (specialising in Accounting/ Management Accounting).
- Minimum of 3 Years’ post qualification experience in the field of Accounting/ Management Accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge in the Management Accounting and Reporting fields.
- Advanced MS Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Completed/ Signed-Off 3 Years Articles would be advantageous.
- Financial Modeling in MS Excel would be advantageous.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
- Detail orientated with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
- Must be willing to work additional hours if required.
- Previous experience of working remotely would be advantageous.
