Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant Tertiary IT / Management Qualification and experience
- 7 years + experience in a Senior IT Management Level in large corporates
- 4 years plus experience in a Cloud / Digital Environment
- Good understanding of cloud service management terminology, definitions, concepts, terminology related to cloud service management.
- Good understanding of:
- the cloud marketplace and differences between the consumer’s and provider’s perspective of a cloud marketplace.
- the challenges with selling / purchasing cloud-based services.
- the various pricing models for cloud services.
- hybrid IT cost model.
- Comparison of cloud service management with traditional IT service management in the existing IT organizations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Managing Director at Exco Level
- Responsible to reach Cloud Managed Service Sales / Revenue Targets
- Analyse an organization’s strategic assets and capabilities to successfully design, deploy, and run cloud services.
- Identify, mitigate potential risks and benefits of adopting a cloud strategy.
- Produce a cloud adoption strategy.
- Motivate the benefits and drive the adoption of cloud-based services within the organization and with Clients.
- Identify strategies to reduce risk and remove issues associated with the adoption of cloud computing and cloud-based services.
- Analyse the impact of demand and how to “right-size” cloud services at the design stage.
- Analyse effective demand management across cloud-based service models.
- Utilise the benefits, risks, and issues of DevOps within an IT organization.
- Select appropriate structures for designing, deploying, and running cloud-based services within traditional IT organizations.
- Identify and mitigate key governance requirements of cloud service provision.
- Model cloud service management principles into ICT operations and IT service management.
- Predict the complexities involved in designing, deploying, and running cloud services.
Personal Characteristics:
- Ability to lead, report, optimise and function effectively / efficiently in a large corporate IT company.
- Ability to see and implement goals to support the bigger corporate strategy picture.
- Good leader in a large-scale IT environment
