TENDER SALES CONSULTANT

Our client currently has a vacancy for the above mentioned position in the Tender Department – Government Affairs, reporting directly to the Tender Manager.
Region:
? KwaZulu Natal & Eastern Cape (Port Elizabeth & Mthata)
Languages:
? Conversant in English, Zulu and/or Xhosa
Position Objective
? Successful implementation of sales strategy for ARVs on tender, to meet agreed sales targets, within individual territory while complying with Company values and applying control measures on operational cost.
Qualifications & Experience:
? Minimum 2 to 3 years in SA Tender Management environment with good knowledge of the State Tender Business with demonstrated success.
? Appropriate Business, Marketing and/or Medical/Pharmaceutical Degree/Diploma
? Proven management experience and success in a marketing and/or sales/commercial position, good knowledge and experience of regulatory, legal, medical, logistical issues.

? Excellent communication and strong presentation skills
? Computer Literacy at intermediate level (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
? Valid, unendorsed South African driver’s license
? Tertiary degree in the discipline of: Healthcare / Business studies or other related, disciplines would be an added advantage
? To be conversant in the native language of the territory serviced
Duties/Key Performance Indicators
Sales / Market Share Strategy
? Achievement of the sales targets month on month for the allocated territory through growth and / or maintaining sales of promoted products in the territory.
Strategy Execution
? Effectively and optimally manage your sales territory (State Customers) and maximize the number of calls on key target customers
Initiate and implement value-added programmes in the territory and the province
Territory Management
Provide impeccable customer service and remain professional, courteous and act with due urgency on customer requests
Product Portfolio Knowledge
? Maintain a high level of product knowledge for existing products and develop knowledge on new products as well as the relevant details of promotional tools through:
Expense Management / Administration
Carrying out marketing activities related spend within the set cost limits, while maximising the return on investment and to ensure that allocated resources are effectively utilised.
Estimate Revision
Alignment exercises with relevant stakeholders in provinces
The person required should be able to independently handle all the above activities and should have strong relationship with the Regional Depot Heads and other stakeholders at provincial level, displaying good communication skills both written and oral.
Should have demonstrated success in sales and customer management.
Person should be willing to travel extensively.
Expected to cover 6-10 customers per day, from the given data base, subject to change based on the company requirement
