- JOB PURPOSE
- To manage the Supply Chain operations of the Legislature, ensuring effectiveness in financial governance and resource management.
- Key Result Areas
- Acquisition Planning
- Identify the principal risks of MMSEZ Supply Chain business and implement appropriate systems to manage and mitigate these risks;- Ensure effective planning in the work of the acquisitions section, in terms of daily, weekly, monthly and annual activities.
- Acquisition Management
- Create a company’s acquisition guidelines and tactics.- Check and update committee files regularly to ensure compliance of processes and activities undertaken and integrity of records kept.- Facilitate and control logistical arrangements and procedural requirements for all Tender/Bid Committee meetings.- Evaluate quotations in line with legislative, policy and processes and ensure requirements are met.- Perform secretarial duties at meetings of bid committees and related meetings and provide advice and guidance when required.- Provide all necessary information pertaining to acquisitions to all relevant parties as required.- Participate in site visits to inform specifications and prospective bidders.- Facilitate the verification and pre-qualification of prospective bidders.- Manage supplier performance and check the quality of goods and services rendered.- Contribute to the facilitation of training of client departments on the supply chain management requirements of the Legislature.- Manage the administration of all supply chain requests and acquisitions in the legislature, in line with relevant policies and procedures, and in alignment with the strategic and operational needs of the Legislature.- Manage the vendor database – Provide input into the disposal management programme of the Legislature, undertake inspections, and the re-use of assets.

- Collaborate with counterparts in other Legislatures and relevant bodies in other provinces for strategic and operational benchmarking and alignment purposes.- Foster effective communications and ensure appropriate relationships are maintained with the stakeholders of MMSEZ- Cultivate and promote good corporate image;- Develop, grow and protect MMSEZ’s corporate brand

Knowledge (Qualification & Experience)
Minimum Requirement:
NQF Level 6 National Diploma in Supply Chain Management
2 years relevant experience in Supply Chain Management
