The purpose of this position is to ensure effective financial management and to coordinate the provision of effective financial support services for the company and business units, in compliance with legislation & Company policies & procedures. The incumbent will report directly to the CFO.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management:

  • Prepare, collate and present the annual business unit budgets
  • Prepare, collate and present the business unit forecasts: Income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, capital expenditure (monthly, quarterly, including 3 years rolling forecast)
  • Prepare, collate and distribute monthly management reports: Flash and Management Accounts
  • Complete Bi-annual statutory packs
  • Complete Bi-annual TAX packs
  • Manage Fixed Assets
  • Administration and Authorisation of company payments
  • Prepare, collate and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Ensure all financial transactions are processed timeously and accurately
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting
  • Ensure appropriate external and internal audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process from start to end
  • Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are produced accurately and timeously, this includes sub ledger and general ledger reconciliations
  • Management and collection of debtors
  • Preparation, justification and reporting of capital expenditure

Financial Compliance and Operational Auditing:

  • Embark on regular depot visits
  • Ensure Compliance with Policies and Procedures (implementation, execution and training)
  • Liaise with all parties related to compliance, auditing and or financial management
  • Support depot managers and operational managers with operational financial aspects
  • Implementation and maintaining an effective internal control environment (implementation, execution and training)
  • Review the internal audit status update
  • Liaise with all parties relating to aspects of: compliance, internal controls and or financial management
  • Support all depot managers and operational managers with operational financial aspects

Staff Management:

  • Lead direct, motivate and develop the team so that the team members are adequately equipped to perform their responsibilities
  • Set objectives for the team, monitor, assess & evaluate achievement of objectives and provide ongoing feedback
  • Implement development programs and ensure team members are developed to perform at maximum

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Professionally qualified – CA SA
  • A minimum of 5 – 10 years business experience at a Senior level within the Automotive, Fleet Management, Manufacturing, Engineering environment
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent Computer literacy skills, strong ERP experience, Sage X3 preferred
  • Previous knowledge of multiple business unit / entity reporting
  • Strong experience in implementing internal controls
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Resourceful and efficient under pressure
  • Strong analytical aptitude
  • Should be able to lead a team and manage professionally
