Location: Pretoria CBD & home
Duties:
- Provide security during the development stages of software systems, networks and data centres
- Conduct software upgrades and explains performance criteria, documents configurations, and systems specifications
- Search for vulnerabilities and risks in hardware and software
- Manage and monitor any attacks and intrusions
- Recognize the potential threat or attempted breach by closing off the security vulnerability
- Build firewalls into network infrastructures
- Create and implement security audits across computer hardware and software systems
- Design various strategies and defensive systems against intruders
- Conduct counteractive protocols and report incidents
- Recognize the security gaps and prepare an action plan
- Creates new defensive systems and protocols
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, or Information Technology, or Informatics, or Engineering, or Telecommunications, Electronics & Electrical Information Systems, or Commerce or other relevant qualification at NQF6;
Minimum Certificate
- CompTlA’s security certification OR Cisco Certified Network Associate – Security
Added Advantaqe
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) will be an advantage
Minimum Experience
- 7+ years in the ICT industry
- 5+ years in Security Policies and Procedures
- 5+ IT Security & Infrastructure
- 5+ Security Risk Management
- 3+ years in Security Testing and Auditing
- 5+ network administrator
- 5+ years in system administrator
