Qualifications:- One or more tertiary qualification(s) issued by a registered tertiary institution that is/are relevant to the role of the Solutions Architect- TOGAF certification or similar; AND A- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Solutions Architect on tasks or projects requiring Oracle solutions and custom development, as well as cloud solutions, cloud services, and cloud development.
Requirements:- Understanding the application portfolio landscape of the WCG;- Working closely with Development and Enterprise Architecture teams for solution design, architecture and application alignment;- Providing solutions architecture guidance to various application development teams;- Conducting interviews with key role-players within the various departments to further understand their business processes, needs and challenges; – Conducting feasibility studies;- Preparing business cases and conducting an initial risk assessment; Conducting solution assessments and validation;- Conducting presentations of the deliverables for playback to the relevant departmental unit;- Conducting playback sessions with the relevant departmental unit to ensure that the information extracted from the business documents and through the interview process are correct; Producing a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements;- Producing process ow analysis and process redesign documents; Sharing best practices and being consultative to teams and clients;- Collaborating with Technical Architects, Technology Managers and/or Application Development Managers to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements;- Providing current best practice and third party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document in alignment with WCG standards and application portfolio roadmaps;- Participating in and leading, when needed, project meetings with the relevant client departments; and Participating in internal projects as required.- Ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team;- Ability to be self-managed, ethical and honest;- Ability to be respectful and seek to build relationships;- Have a pragmatic approach to business transformation;- Strong presentation skills at board level or executive management level;- Relevant business development experience and skills; and Experience and capability of leading IT technologies
