An Enterprise Architect will define the organisation’s enterprise architecture, manage its roadmap, and
foster the development of the necessary skills and experience among architecture staff.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to:

  • Design, develop and implement enterprise architecture.
  • Advise and recommend enterprise architecture strategies, processes and methodologies.
  • Recommend the automation and digitisation of business processes.
  • Align IT service delivery to optimised business process.
  • Implement the strategy for the development of the Enterprise Architecture framework.
  • Ensure adequate information and data management for the organisation.
  • Implement document and records management system throughout the organisation.
  • Ensure accessibility of useful information for Ithala to conduct business, including decision-making.
  • Provide advice and present papers on new trends in information, data and technologies.
  • Ensure improved agility of IT to meet business needs.
  • Ensure high customer service levels.
  • Ensure effective management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct satisfaction surveys of departments and business units.
  • Manage Human Resources
    The following minimum requirements should be met in order to be considered:
    Qualifications:
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science
  • Post Graduate qualification in IT / Computer Science will be advantageous.
  • TOGAT Certificate or equivalent
    Experience:
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in IT with a minimum of 3 year’s hands-on experience in Enterprise
    Solution and Integration Architecture
  • Minimum three (3) years management experience.
  • Experience in the use of an Enterprise Architecture modelling tools will be advantageous.
    Requisite Functional Competencies:
  • Presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Understanding of Risk Management.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills
  • Management skills, negotiation skills and leadership skills.
  • Problem solving, time driven, analytical thinker and good interpersonal skill
