My client is seeking an Actuarial Software Developer to develop and maintain an in-house actuarial valuation software and collaborate with actuarial teams to understand modelling requirements and ensuring the software aligns with industry standards and organisational needs.
Key Requirements
- Ability to analyse complex actuarial processes and translate them into efficient software solutions.
- Skilled in troubleshooting issues within legacy systems like Delphi, particularly with flat file architectures, and determining optimal paths for modernisation.
- Solid understanding of Delphi’s development environment, object-oriented programming and Pascal.
- Capable of maintaining and enhancing legacy Delphi systems while planning long-term upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of database design and management, including experience with flat file systems and relational databases (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server or PostgreSQL).
- Strong actuarial technical skills.
