Our client, an IT Consulting firm based in Gqeberha, is looking for an IT Support Technician to join their team.

Requirements:

  • Computer Science qualification advantageous.
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Technician.
  • Certification in CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, CompTIA S+, CCNA/ CCNP
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Service Level Agreements.
  • Understanding of diverse computer systems, networking, and CCTV systems.
  • Networking (Planning, Implementing, Configuring and Troubleshooting)
  • Windows Server and AD experience.
  • Clear criminal record.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all SLA and ad hoc client requirements and tickets within agreed time frames.
  • Technical role will be performing 1st and 2nd tier technical support function, while managing senior end user communications and relationships.
  • Identify possible client leads and escalate to Manager as needed.
  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.).
  • Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimise stability and performance.
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems.
  • Create and maintain documentation on IT manuals and procedures.
  • Supervise and perform installations of all data network and CCTV systems.
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
  • Define hardware and network requirements.
  • Install well-functioning LAN/WAN and other networks and manage components.
  • Offer timely technical support.
  • Liaison with suppliers and clients.
  • Travel to client sites.
