Job Summary
The Colour and Software Application Specialist will provide expert support and technical assistance to customers and internal teams on all aspects of colour management and graphic software applications. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality colour reproduction, troubleshooting software issues, providing training, and supporting the successful implementation of graphic and print solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of colour theory, print production workflows, and software applications in the graphics industry.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communication, Printing Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in colour management, software application support, or print production.
Hands-on experience with print production workflows, RIP software, and colour management tools (such as GMG, X-Rite, EFI, or similar).
Strong understanding of ICC profiling, colour calibration, and colour theory.
Proficiency with graphic design and print software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, as well as RIP and print management software.
Knowledge of industry standards (G7, FOGRA, ISO) related to print quality and colour management.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction and training.
Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze, diagnose, and solve colour and software application challenges in a timely manner.
Customer Orientation: Dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and support.
Adaptability: Comfortable working with a variety of clients and systems, staying flexible and responsive to changing needs.
Willingness to travel for customer visits, training, and trade events.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift and transport equipment as required.
Duties
Colour Management & Calibration: Implement and maintain colour management standards, conduct calibrations, and troubleshoot issues to ensure accurate, consistent colour output.
Software Application Support: Provide technical support for software installations, updates, and integrations. Collaborate with customers to identify optimal software solutions and stay updated on best practices.
Customer Training & Support: Offer on-site or remote assistance for technical queries, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
Workflow Optimization: Assess client workflows to improve efficiency, color accuracy, and productivity. Recommend changes aligned with industry standards.
Product Testing & Feedback: Support sales and technical teams from pre-sales to post-sales to enhance client satisfaction.
