Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement ETL/ELT processes using AWS Glue, Lambda, and other AWS services.
- Develop and manage data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
- Data Warehousing:
- Create and manage scalable data warehouse solutions using Amazon Redshift.
- Optimize data models, performance, and query efficiency.
- Develop dashboards and reports using tools like Amazon QuickSight or other visualization platforms.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Work closely with data analysts, engineers, and business teams to understand reporting and analysis needs.
- Ensure the BI solutions align with business objectives.
- Implement data security best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Monitor and fine-tune AWS services for cost-efficiency and performance.
Experience:
- Relevant IT Diploma or equivalent qualification
- 5+ years of experience in BI development and data engineering.
- Proven expertise with AWS services such as Redshift, Glue, Lambda, S3, and QuickSight.
- Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, Spark, or other data-processing tools.
- Experience with data modeling and designing scalable data warehouses.
- Other Requirements:
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of cloud cost management and AWS cost-optimization strategies.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with real-time data processing using AWS Kinesis or similar tools.
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows or predictive analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
