We are seeking a proactive and skilled Technical Project Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of tech projects across our organization. This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on experience in managing technical projects from conception through to delivery, ensuring successful completion within scope, time, and budget constraints. The Technical Delivery Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that project requirements are met and will act as a central point of communication for stakeholders.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple tech projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including clients, project teams, and senior leadership, to communicate project progress, manage expectations, and resolve issues.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential project risks and issues early, devise mitigation plans, and escalate as necessary to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Resource Allocation: Collaborate with team leads to allocate resources efficiently and balance workloads to meet project demands.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards in project deliverables, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, risk logs, and status reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and ensure that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical insights to inform project decision-making, leveraging an understanding of the relevant technology stack, architecture, and best practices.
Experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical project management, specifically in tech-driven projects.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, or similar project tracking software.
- Proven experience delivering complex tech projects successfully from start to finish.
- Ability to identify, analyse, and solve project-related issues efficiently and proactively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for influencing stakeholders and aligning cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering collaboration and innovation to achieve project goals.
- Familiarity with industry-specific technologies or practices is a plus.
