We are looking for an experienced Oracle Apps DBA to manage, maintain, and enhance Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of hands-on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Upgrades: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle server software, EBS, and related products.
- Application Management: Start, stop, and monitor application components such as oacore, oafm, and Apache.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues, providing consultation to development teams and engaging Oracle Corporation for advanced technical support.
- Backup & Recovery: Establish and maintain robust backup and recovery policies and procedures to safeguard critical data.
- Database Design & Security: Design and implement database structures and ensure database security by creating and managing users, roles, and privileges.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize both database and application performance, ensuring high availability and efficiency.
- Patch Management: Manage patching, version control, and EBS upgrades to ensure systems are current and compliant with best practices.
- Cloning & Maintenance: Perform database and application cloning for development, testing, and production environments.
- 24/7 Support: Provide round-the-clock support as part of a collaborative team to address mission-critical issues.
- Technical Monitoring: Regularly monitor application performance and proactively address potential issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience in Oracle Apps DBA, with hands-on expertise in EBS 12.2 or EBS upgrade projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Oracle database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Backup & Recovery: Proficiency in implementing and maintaining backup and recovery solutions.
- Security & Compliance: Experience in database security practices, user management, and role assignments.
- Application Proficiency: Familiarity with Oracle EBS components such as oacore, oafm, and Apache.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with technical teams and external vendors.
- Availability: Ability to provide 24×7 support for critical systems when required.
