ENVIRONMENT:
DRIVE the transformation of an existing insurance platform of a reputable Financial Services Provider seeking your expertise as a Senior Python Developer. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful technical improvements while mentoring team members and shaping the technical direction. The ideal candidate must have strong experience with Python and Django, proven API development and integration experience with a solid understanding of MariaDB/MySQL and database optimisation. You also need to be knowledgeable around DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and security best practices in financial systems.
DUTIES:
- Lead the technical modernisation of our Django-based insurance platform.
- Design and implement robust APIs and integrations.
- Drive best practices in Software Development and System Architecture.
- Mentor and technically grow team members.
- Contribute to system design decisions and technical direction.
- Implement security best practices and maintain data integrity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong experience with Python and Django framework.
- Proven experience with API development and integration.
- Solid understanding of MariaDB/MySQL and database optimisation.
- Experience with modern development practices and tools.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of security best practices in financial systems.
Additional Skills –
- Experience with insurance or financial systems is advantageous
- Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with containerisation and deployment automation.
- Experience with system modernisation and legacy code improvement.
