SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR – SAP BASIS
PURPOSE
- Responsible for the administration of all SAP environments and instances, ensuring their optimal performance and availability. Administration includes configuration, transport management, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting
- Ensuring that changes are implemented in line with the change control process and the execution of backup and recovery processes
- Performing system sizing, architecture and design of the technical landscape down to the level of hardware layout according to SAP best practices and recommendations.
- Managing upgrade processes including functional and technical specifications
- Providing support to the end user
- Handling new installs, upgrades and maintenance. Integration of SAP with other systems
- Basic administration of databases to ensure effective maintenance and management.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 Year tertiary qualification in Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems
- SAP BASIS certification
- Additional Requirements
o Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
o ITIL Foundation Certification
o SAP HANA Support, Technology and Installation (in memory database)
o SAP Solution Manager Certifications - EXPERIENCE
- 10 years as an SAP BASIS Administrator and Transport management and batch job scheduling procedures
- 7 years’ experience in
o In depth SAP Database Administration
o Managing multiple SAP environment and database to provide a high availability service and the configuration and use of EarlyWatch and systems copies
