Job Summary:
An industry leader in TaaS based in Bedfordview is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their team. This position will be responsible for providing support to our internal staff and clients, troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues, ensuring that our systems operate smoothly and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to internal staff and clients, addressing hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor system performance and security, implementing necessary updates and patches to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to time synchronization systems and related technologies.
  • Assist in the deployment and management of IT infrastructure, including cloud services and on-premises solutions.
  • Document all support activities, including incident reports, resolutions, and system configurations, to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement improvements to existing systems and processes.
  • Provide training and support to staff on IT best practices and the use of company software and tools.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an IT support role, with a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with time synchronization protocols (e.g., NTP, PTP) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users effectively.
  • A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of network configuration and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified) are advantageous.
