Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to support our internal networks, PCs, printers, and Wi-Fi infrastructure. This role will involve assisting with the setup and maintenance of new PCs for new staff, troubleshooting PC issues, providing technical support for networks, and Point-of-Sale (POS) devices across our stores. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, proactive, and capable of providing excellent customer service to our staff and store locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and configuration of new PCs for new employees, including software installation, network setup, and printer configurations.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff for issues related to computers, printers, and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Wi-Fi networks, network printers, and desktop hardware.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Point-of-Sale (POS) devices in stores to ensure smooth transaction processing.
- Provide remote and onsite support to store locations to resolve network and technical issues.
- Ensure that all internal systems, including Wi-Fi and network equipment, are maintained, updated, and functioning efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all technical requirements are met.
- Document issues and solutions for future reference and assist in creating user guides and best practice documents.
- Assist with general IT-related projects and tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and experience with Wi-Fi networks, internal networks, and printers.
- Hands-on experience setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting PCs (Windows/Mac).
- Experience with POS systems and troubleshooting technical issues related to sales and payment equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues quickly and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for technology and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IT security best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar.
- Experience with remote support tools.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server environments.
