Our Client is looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst and IT Vendor Administrator who will handle business and technical requirements, manage IT vendor relationships, and ensure seamless integration of business applications and IT services. This position serves as a liaison between finance, operations, IT developers, and vendors.

What you’ll do:

Processes, Business, and Technical Requirements

  • Analyse, design, and implement business and technical requirement specifications through stakeholder discussions.
  • Document existing and develop new business processes.
  • Identify and implement incremental improvements to current processes.
  • Transfer new processes and applications to business owners, including user training and support.
  • A solid understanding of data modelling (metadata, content, taxonomy, navigation) and the ability to leverage same in user interfaces, reporting, etc.
  • Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
  • Sound SQL skills and database knowledge
  • Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence (Integration, Analysis and Reporting Services)

Application IT Vendor Management

  • Provide proactive and reactive first-line support for Finance Business applications to ensure operational stability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of production issues for Finance Business applications.
  • Manage IT vendor contracts and ensure compliance with SLAs.
  • Onboard new vendors and maintain current BEE certification for existing vendors.
  • Monitor IT costs against budget and provide explanations for variances for monthly reports.
  • Request new zero-based budget POP items and assist with budgeting.
  • Oversee software licensing, procurement, and renewals in line with business needs.
  • Accurately review and code IT-related invoices to the correct financial period.
  • Prepare monthly accruals and collaborate with the IT Managers, vendors and finance team for accurate reporting.
  • Assist with audit deliveries and liaise with auditors where necessary.

Collaboration, Interaction Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison between finance, operations, developers, and IT vendors for Finance Business applications.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder communication and expectation management.
  • Facilitate end-to-end solution development and support to meet business objectives.

Your expertise:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, or a similar role plus sound basic financial and accounting skills.
  • Strong understanding of finance management, business process analysis, system development life cycle (SDLC), and project management principles.
  • Experience in finance and vendor management, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling, documentation, and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Finance Business applications, ERP systems, or other enterprise software solutions.
  • Prior experience in managing software procurement and licensing.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

Qualifications required:

  • Accounting diploma or degree, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
