A client in the mining space is seeking a Delphi Developer to add capacity to its existing team. The key resource will transition to the IBR Project to enhance the Delphi application based on new requirements, while this additional role will be dedicated to business-as-usual support. The consultant will ensure the smooth functioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the bespoke Delphi application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the bespoke Delphi application.
- Provide technical support to end-users, ensuring minimal downtime and operational continuity.
- Analyze and debug Delphi code to fix bugs or enhance functionality.
- Implement updates and modifications based on user requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration of the Delphi application with other systems or databases.
- Test and validate integration points to maintain data consistency.
- Monitor application performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency.
- Address memory management and resource utilization issues in Delphi.
- Identify potential system issues before they escalate and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to ensure the stability and efficiency of the application.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Delphi Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Delphi programming language and related frameworks.
- Experience with database management systems such as SQL Server or MySQL.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working with enterprise applications in a support environment.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.
