Senior Business Analyst – Financial Services (Insurance/Banking)

Seniority: at least 8 years, and ideally 10+ years as a Senior BA
We are actively recruiting for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a solid background in Finance (Accounting, Tax, etc.). This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a strategic and high-impact environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership in designing optimal business solutions based on sound business principles and financial frameworks.
- Craft and refine high-level business requirements and features in collaboration with Finance Teams
- Lead the breakdown of features into user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
- Support cross-functional teams in the successful implementation of business requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in business analysis practices and contribute to project delivery.
Must-Haves
- 8-10+ years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst with working experience within the Financial Services industry (Insurance, Asset Management, or Banking)
- Solid Accounting / Finance experience is essential
- Certification or qualification as a Business Analyst (e.g., IIBA, BABOK, CBAP, FTI or related) is required
- Tertiary qualification in Finance (Financial Degree or CA(SA)) is highly advantageous/preferable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with key, strategic stakeholders
