Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the stabilisation and modernisation roadmap for critical systems.
- Evaluate existing integrations and spearhead the transition to a modern, API-driven architecture.
- Drive the refactoring of monolithic systems, identifying and prioritising key components for decomposition.
- Align and coordinate architectural efforts across cloud, data, and application teams.
- Lead risk mitigation initiatives and develop remediation plans for high-risk system failures.
- Collaborate with IT, development, operations, and executive leadership teams.
- Coordinate across functional teams to align architecture with business needs.
- Engage with third-party vendors, consultants, and service providers.
- Represent the organisation in external architecture forums or stakeholder meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
- 7+ years in enterprise or solution architecture roles.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale system modernisation and stabilisation initiatives.
- Extensive experience in integration architecture, legacy systems, and designing for high availability.
- Strategic thinking with strong systems-level problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in architectural modelling, documentation tools, and methodologies.
- Strong leadership and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through technical transformation.
