The Role: IT Support and Security Engineer L3
This role is focused on delivering advanced IT support and cybersecurity solutions as part of a collaborative MSP team. You’ll handle L3 technical escalations, manage client systems, implement solutions, and lead small to medium-sized IT projects. Ideal for a technically skilled, customer-oriented professional seeking a remote opportunity with future international potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 support for desktop, server, and network environments
- Handle escalation tickets from the service desk and mentor junior technicians
- Lead customer onboarding/offboarding and manage multiple IT projects
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and DNS/DHCP setups
- Implement cybersecurity assessments and best practices
- Manage cloud-based infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, M365, and Intune
- Utilize RMM tools to proactively monitor and resolve issues
- Ensure precise time tracking, documentation, and knowledge sharing
- Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency support and maintenance
About You
- 5+ years in IT technical support, preferably in multi-site or MSP environments
- 3+ years of Windows Server and desktop support
- 2+ years with firewalls, networks, and M365/Azure management
- Proven experience with ConnectWise, Kaseya, or similar MSP tools (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication with strong customer service skills
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and highly organized
- Problem-solver with a tenacious, proactive approach
- Comfortable working Australian hours and participating in on-call rotations
- Degree or diploma in IT or a related field (preferred)
