Support RDGS.4 in managing data related to the Bank’s operations (pipeline, lending programme, approved, ongoing, completed, non-lending etc) in the region. Its purpose is to ensure quality, accuracy and completeness of data and generate analytical reports that will support decision making by all concerned RDGS internal stakeholders.

Skill and Duties

Under the overall guidance of the RDGS.4 Division Manager and in consultation with the Senior Business Data Analyst, the Data Analyst will perform the following duties:

  • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities and work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Monitor and report on the key performance indicators on overall RDGS performance, Bank priorities and result indicators.
  • Collect, process, provide, and maintain accurate data on the Bank’s operations (new, ongoing, and completed) and prepare analytical reports and PowerPoint presentations to be used by Management, Regional Programme Officers, Country Programme Officers and Task Managers in the Region.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets
  • Ability to work under pressure in a multicultural and distributed organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Proficiency in MS Office platforms

  • 2 to 5 years
