We are seeking a Business Data Manager to join our team, based in JHB-onsite.
This role is responsible for overseeing and ensuring proper data management and governance within Group Finance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Creating & enforcing policies for effective data management.
- Devising & implementing efficient and secure procedures for data management & analysis.
- Establishing data sharing.
- Monitoring & Analyzing information & data systems.
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends.
- Assessing risk & identifying potential issues.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, maths, finance, business, or a related field.
- Formal data management qualification i.e DAMA
- >3 years Data Management
- 1-3 years banking or financial services
- Financial knowledge
Technical Competencies:
- Data management.
- Ability to decipher & organise large amounts of data.
- An analytical mindset with superb communication & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex problems clearly & in nontechnical terms.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations & financial products.
- Excellent communication & leadership skills.
