Minimum Requirements:
- Red Seal Certification (Wireman’s license advantageous)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering: BEng / BEngTech / BTech
- 3+ years’ experience in solar PV system design, installation, and commissioning
- Proficient in solar design software (preferred)
- Experience with residential and commercial solar PV systems
- Hands-on knowledge of inverters, batteries, and remote monitoring software
- Strong grasp of electrical design principles and solar PV components
- Skilled in fault finding, troubleshooting, and compliance with local electrical codes
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for on-site assessments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support for solar system design, installation, and performance
- Conduct system commissioning, testing, and remote diagnostics
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in the field and remotely
- Assist in the standardization of technical documentation and best practices
- Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure quality and compliance
- Stay up to date on the latest solar technologies and regulations
