Infrastructure Architecture & Planning:

  • Define and maintain target-state infrastructure architecture across on-premises, cloud, and edge environments.
  • Lead the roadmap for infrastructure modernization including virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure, containerization, and network overlays.
  • Develop infrastructure blueprints and patterns for compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and network services.
  • Align infrastructure strategies with enterprise architecture principles, performance objectives, and SLAs.

Cloud and Hybrid Enablement:

  • Architect and manage hybrid and multi-cloud environments using AWS, Azure, and private cloud platforms.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) pipelines using tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Design cloud landing zones, VPC architectures, identity federation, and interconnect strategies.
  • Ensure cloud workloads are observable, cost-efficient, and scalable.

Security, Resilience & Compliance:

  • Embed security-by-design principles, such as zero trust, micro-segmentation, encryption, and access control.
  • Design and implement HA/DR solutions ensuring geographic redundancy and business continuity.
  • Ensure infrastructure is compliant with industry standards and regulatory frameworks such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and GDPR.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Delivery of infrastructure blueprint aligned with enterprise architecture within the first 90 days.
  • Cloud readiness enablement for legacy workloads via IaC deployments.
  • Deployment of observability tooling and SLAs across critical platforms.
  • Reduction in configuration drift through reusable templates and blueprints.
  • Secure and compliant cloud migration playbooks and automated cutover strategies.

Technical Experience & Skills:

  • 8+ years in infrastructure and/or cloud architecture in complex, high-availability environments.
  • Strong experience across compute, storage, virtualization, cloud network architecture, and disaster recovery.
  • Proficiency with hybrid and multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and private cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), platform engineering, service mesh, and secure enclave deployments.
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure automation (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure observability.
  • Knowledge of layered security, identity federation, and Zero Trust Architecture.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR.
  • Experience in designing scalable and resilient infrastructure for high-traffic platforms.
  • Strong understanding of secure cloud architecture, including federated identity, encryption, and compliance tooling.

Desirable:

  • Kubernetes cluster design and operations experience.
  • Integration experience with observability platforms like Datadog or Splunk.
  • Familiarity with edge computing, CDN strategies, and backend scaling techniques.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
