We are seeking a technically strong IT Project Manager with a sharp eye for detail and a solid understanding of inventory and obsolescence management. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and managing IT-for-IT change initiatives across the organization.

This role demands strong planning, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage numerous moving parts within a technically complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned IT-for-IT projects, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and quality outcomes.

  • Drive initiatives focused on IT obsolescence, specifically Windows and Linux operating system decommissioning.

  • Produce monthly obsolescence reports for IT governance and oversight forums.

  • Ensure business continuity by proactively managing change related to IT projects.

  • Maintain clear communication with technical teams and translate project needs into actionable plans.

  • Manage risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Remain adaptable in a dynamic and fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field.

  • Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).

  • Minimum qualification: Matric.

  • 5–10 years’ experience as an IT Project Manager with a proven track record in delivering IT infrastructure or obsolescence projects.

  • Strong technical understanding across ICT functions including infrastructure, systems development, and service management.

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server environments, technical admin tools, and cybersecurity fundamentals.

  • Familiarity with the systems development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.

  • Linux experience is a strong advantage.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in financial services or similar regulated environments is advantageous.
