? Senior Cloud Database Administrator – AWS OR Azure ?
We’re seeking an experienced Cloud Database Specialist to architect, optimize, and secure high-performance database environments in AWS and Microsoft Azure. This is a global-impact role where your expertise will shape scalable, cost-efficient, and resilient database solutions for mission-critical systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB)
- Lead database migration strategies from on-prem to cloud, ensuring minimal downtime
- Optimize database performance, security, and cost in production environments
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for cloud deployments
- Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for monitoring and management
- Collaborate with global teams on high availability, replication, and compliance solutions
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to best practice database standards
What You Bring:
- 8+ years in database administration (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
- Proven expertise with AWS & Azure database services
- Strong scripting skills for automation and performance tuning
- Deep knowledge of cloud security hardening and compliance
- Relevant degree in Computer Science/IT (cloud certifications advantageous)
- Experience with NoSQL, containerized database deployments, Terraform/CloudFormation is a plus
