TCL has launched the TCL 60R 5G smartphone in South Africa. Available from September at participating retail stores, the TCL 60R is priced at R2 299 on prepaid.
With 5G connectivity, TCL NXTURBO, and RAM expansion technology, the TCL 60R 5G is pitched as an entry-level smartphone that will give years of use.
Powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with a maximum CPU frequency of 2.4GHz, the TCL 60R offers lag-free multitasking and responsive performance.
The TCL 60R features a 6.7-inch NXTVISION display with a 120Hz refresh rate, vibrant colours, sharp detail and fluid scrolling.
Dual speakers offer an immersive audio experience for gaming, listening to music or watching movies. A 50MP main camera captures sharp photos, while the 8MP front camera takes selfies and videocalls.
The TCL 60R comes with a 5 200mAh battery and intelligent power-saving modes, delivering up to two days of usage on a single charge.
“The TCL 60R is a natural choice for the user who wants a 5G phone that offers reliable performance and modern features at an affordable cost,” says Ernst Wittmann, TCL regional manager for Southern & East Africa and global operator account manager for Africa. “It shows a feature-packed smartphone doesn’t have to come at a premium price.”
