My client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis.

Qualifications
- Strong, hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) experience – essential
- IT Degree or Diploma
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile)
- 10+ years’ IT industry experience, with at least 5 years in software development
- Strong knowledge of system development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience in Financial Services/Insurance (advantageous)
- Proven stakeholder management experience (local and offshore)
- Solid experience with Agile delivery and Scrum methodology
- Proficient in JIRA and Confluence project tools
Responsibilities
- Develop project plans including scope, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budgets
- Lead teams to execute projects effectively, ensuring milestones are met
- Monitor project progress, report on risks, and apply corrective measures
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders (internal and external)
- Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly and promptly
- Manage expectations to ensure alignment with project objectives
- Allocate and manage resources across projects
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Proactively manage issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure deliverables meet required standards and expectations
- Implement quality assurance practices
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Provide guidance, motivation, and support to project teams
- Encourage collaboration and a positive team environment
- Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve processes
