• Build, train, and validate predictive and statistical models.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
  • Support the development and refinement of machine learning algorithms.
  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and transforming structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across systems.
  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Translate business requirements into analytical tasks and actionable insights.
  • Develop visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively.
  • Present analytical insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Explore and apply new data science methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Develop proficiency in data visualization tools and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • NQF Level 6 or higher tertiary qualification in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or related field (including Information Systems).
  • Relevant Cloud certification (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Data Scientist role.
  • Strong understanding of statistics, data modelling, and machine learning concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of data management and cloud-based analytics platforms.
