Business Analyst to support the successful delivery of a SQL Landscape Upgrade project
?? About the Role:
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to play a key role in our SQL Landscape Upgrade Project.
This is a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale technical transformation, partnering with both technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful upgrade.
You’ll serve as the bridge between IT and the business, gathering and documenting requirements, coordinating with database administrators and project managers, and supporting all stages of implementation — from requirements through to testing and go-live

?? What You’ll Do
- Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements for the SQL upgrade.
- Collaborate with DBAs, developers, vendors, and project managers to align on scope and deliverables.
- Assess the current SQL environment to identify dependencies, risks, and business impacts.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to validate requirements and communicate project progress.
- Support testing and validation activities, including UAT.
- Prepare documentation such as process flows, impact assessments, and readiness reports.
- Manage all Change Acceptance Board (CAB) activities — submissions, approvals, and task closure.
- Schedule and facilitate GO-LIVE meetings and ensure all project servers are managed post-implementation.
- Support database investigations and validation of server data.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve project processes and workflows.

- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT infrastructure or application upgrade projects.
- Strong understanding of SQL databases and related technologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and administrative skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and handling large datasets.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- A proactive mindset — able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- National Diploma in Information Technology, BCom Informatics, or equivalent
