Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has thrown his weight behind Project Prometheus, a startup that aims to develop artificial intelligence (AI) to engineer and computers, cars and spacecraft.
He will serve as co-CEO of the venture, alongside physicist and chemist Vik Bajaj, who has worked at Google X.
It is believed that Project Prometheus, which has already quietly started operations, kicks off with $6,2-billion in funding and already has about 100 employees.
The company is said to be focusing on applying AI to physical tasks.
