Intellehub has officially  launched  its new training division, Intellehub People Solutions  (IPS) – Training Academy – an independent subsidiary created to address South Africa’s growing need for digital skills development and workplace readiness.

At the helm of IPS Training Academy is training leader, John Molefe, who joined Intellehub earlier this year.

Intellehub delivers ICT solutions to both public and private sector organisations across South Africa. One consistent challenge has emerged: many of the barriers to organisational success are not technological – they are human.

“We often see that a system works perfectly, but the people using it don’t have the training or confidence to unlock its full potential,” says Molefe. “We can deploy the most advanced platforms, but without training, they can’t deliver the impact they were designed for. The People Solutions division of Intellehub  was born to close that gap.”

IPS – Training Academy will integrate training and upskilling into the end-to-end services already offered by Intellehub – ensuring every technology implementation is supported by capable, confident users who can sustain it long after go-live.

The Training Academy offers skills development programmes for both employed and unemployed individuals, with a special focus on youth from previously disadvantaged communities, including those that are differently abled.

These programmes cover a range of ICT and digital skills, from system use to data literacy, cybersecurity and emerging 4IR technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the Internet of Things offered through the traditional training routes and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathway.

At the same time, IPS has also secured accreditation for several non-ICT programmes, including generic skills like office administration, project management, and even early childhood development (ECD).

“We’ve seen passionate people running community crèches without any formal training,” Molefe explains. “The first six years of a child’s life are critical for development. By equipping these caregivers with the right skills and recognition, we can uplift communities from the ground up.”
