The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa has approved Vodacom’s acquisition of a 30% interest in Maziv.
The transaction implementation data will be Monday (1 December 2025).
Maziv will house all of the fibre assets owned by Community Investment Ventures, including Vumatel and Dark Fibre Africa.
The ICASA approval is the last hurdle after the companies won Competition Commission approval in July, only after agreeing to several conditions to the acquisition.
