The purpose of this role is to develop, maintain and test robust database solutions aligned to business and regulatory requirements.
Your day-to-day will include:
Analysing and interpreting business requirements
Compiling and reviewing technical design specifications
Developing and maintaining:
Database views
Functions
Stored procedures
User-defined types
Building reports and dashboards (hello, Power BI)
Developing advanced ETL processes
Writing database scripts for solution testing
Performing database code reviews
Supporting production environments and resolving data issues
Maintaining technical and application documentation
Ensuring data quality, profiling, metadata and master data management
Defining and adhering to database development standards and processes
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
Education
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
Experience & Technical Skills
Minimum 3 years’ experience developing database solutions on Microsoft SQL Server
Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience writing Transact-SQL
Minimum 3 years’ experience developing on the Power BI platform
Proven experience with:
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or newer
Windows Server 2012 or newer
Strong working knowledge of:
XML, XSD and JSON
ETL development
Data quality and data profiling
Certification (Mandatory)
One of the following Microsoft certifications is required:
