- Collaborating with business stakeholders to identify and clarify their data analysis needs and reporting requirements.
- Designing and developing the organisation’s BI architecture, including data models, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams.
- Perform data modelling and ensure seamless integration of data from multiple sources.
- Evaluating and selecting appropriate data management tools and technologies.
- Managing and optimising data storage, access, and retrieval processes.
- Optimising and maintaining existing BI tools and databases to improve performance and functionality.
- Implementing data warehouse solutions to consolidate data from various sources.

- Expertise in Data Warehouse, ETL, Cube and Report design and development.
- Strong SQL Developer skills: Write and optimise SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure efficient data extraction and processing.
- Extensive and solid experience with report development using various tools (SSRS, Power BI, Excel, etc.)
- Good working knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and proper workflow design and exception management.
- Create complex DAX and MDX formulas for advanced calculations and data analysis.
- Expertise working with relational and multidimensional database schemas.
- Monitor and improve report performance, ensuring scalability and reliability. Ability to analyse data issues within reports.
- Ability to provide estimates to support timelines and deliverables.
- Follow and enhance BI standards and best practices across the team.
- Collaborate and mentor team members on methodology, design and architecture.
- Operates with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
- Staying up to date with emerging trends and technologies in BI technologies and management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying reports using Power BI, Power BI Report Builder and SSRS.
- Strong expertise in data modelling and data integration techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design creative and innovative BI solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 3-5 + years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases, with extensive exposure to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- 3-5 + years’ experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and query optimisation, preferably in both Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. Experience in performance tuning is required.
- 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power BI Report Server.
- 2+ years’ systems analysis experience in interviewing business users and documenting their data and report requirements.
- 5+ years’ experience working with data warehouses and data lakes.
- Exposure to Sage Accounting Integration.
- Some software development experience and an understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
- Exposure to Microsoft SharePoint and Power Apps/Power Automate.
