Company Overview:
My client operative in the Retail / financial services domain is seeking a Project Manager to oversee large, complex projects spanning multiple business and technology stakeholders, vendors, and operational teams.
Job Purpose:
To manage end-to-end delivery of financial services projects, coordinating across business, technology, vendor, and training teams. This role ensures the overall project plan is executed effectively, integrating input from Scrum Masters who manage IT delivery, while maintaining alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage larger, complex projects from initiation to delivery and close-out.
- Oversee contributions from Scrum Masters, IT teams, business units, vendors, and training teams.
- Translate business and technical requirements into a comprehensive delivery plan and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
- Manage dependencies, priorities, risks, and issues across the project lifecycle.
- Ensure testing, quality assurance, and operational readiness activities are completed for stable, high-quality releases.
- Provide clear, timely updates to stakeholders and senior leadership on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to optimise processes, workflows, and operational strategies to improve project performance and business value.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing large, complex projects or programs in financial services or related environments.
- Proven experience in credit, lending, payments, or collections environments is highly advantageous.
- Strong documentation, requirements management, and planning skills.
- Exposure to Agile delivery frameworks and experience coordinating multiple Scrum teams.
