Role Overview
You will be responsible for transforming raw financial and transactional data into structured intelligence that supports risk detection, investigative decision-making, and strategic oversight. The role requires a detail-oriented data professional who can combine technical capability with critical thinking.
Core Responsibilities
- Consolidate and structure large, complex financial datasets from multiple sources
- Develop and manage relational databases using SQL and/or SAS
- Apply statistical and analytical techniques to identify irregularities and emerging risk patterns
- Produce clear, insight-driven dashboards and visual reports using Power BI
- Maintain strict data governance, quality control, and audit compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert analytical findings into operational action
Candidate Profile
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
- SAS and/or SQL Server certification (essential)
- Minimum 3 years’ practical experience in data analytics or modelling
- Strong programming and data manipulation skills
- Exposure to financial or transactional data environments (experience within regulated or risk-focused sectors advantageous)
- Confident communicator with the ability to present technical findings to diverse stakeholders
