Drone strikes have hit and damaged at least two Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centres in the Gulf region.

Two facilities in the United Arab Emirates have been struck, with significant damage.

One strike was on Sunday, in a Bahrain data centre, which suffered fire damage.

Another Bahrain data centre was damaged when a drone landed close to it.

In light of the ongoing conflict, AWS is urging customers who use its Middle East facilities to ensure backups are up to date, and to consider migrating workloads to other regions.
