Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst Specialist to operate at a strategic level across our Group Technology environment.
This role is responsible for bridging business strategy, processes, and technology, ensuring that business needs are translated into scalable, sustainable, and future-fit solutions. The successful candidate will work across complex, enterprise-wide initiatives, engaging senior stakeholders and operating comfortably in ambiguity.
The BA Specialist will connect business vision to execution, shaping both current-state understanding and future-state design across processes, systems, and data.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Analysis
- Engage with senior stakeholders to understand and shape business strategy and objectives
- Translate strategic goals into business capabilities, operating models, and technology requirements
- Provide input into enterprise-wide transformation initiatives
2. Enterprise & Capability Modelling
- Develop and maintain business architecture views (capabilities, value streams, processes, information flows)
- Create current-state and future-state models across business, data, and technology domains
- Ensure alignment between business architecture and IT architecture
3. Requirements & Solution Alignment
- Elicit, analyse, and document complex business requirements at both high-level and detailed levels
- Ensure requirements align with enterprise strategy, governance, and standards
- Facilitate translation of business needs into solution designs and technical specifications
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders
- Facilitate workshops, alignment sessions, and decision-making forums
- Navigate high levels of ambiguity and complexity across multiple stakeholders
5. Process & Operating Model Design
- Analyse and optimise business processes and workflows
- Support the design of target operating models
- Ensure solutions are efficient, scalable, and adaptable
6. End-to-End Business Analysis Delivery
- Operate across the full BA lifecycle:
- Strategy alignment
- Requirements elicitation
- Solution design support
- Implementation and validation
- Work across both conceptual (high-level) and detailed (low-level) analysis
Required Experience & Skills
Experience
- 10+ years’ experience in Business Analysis, with significant exposure at senior or specialist level
- Proven experience in enterprise-wide or large-scale transformation programmes
- Strong experience in banking or financial services environments (highly preferred)
Core Skills
- Deep expertise in business analysis frameworks (e.g. BABOK)
- Strong capability in:
- Business capability modelling
- Process modelling (BPMN)
- Information/data modelling
- Requirements engineering
- Ability to operate across strategic and technical domains
Tools & Techniques
- Experience with modelling tools (e.g. ARIS, Visio, Sparx EA or similar)
- Strong documentation and visualisation skills (process maps, capability maps, etc.)
