Senior Data Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing and scaling a next-generation data platform that powers analytics, data science, and business-critical insights.

What you’ll be doing
Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms
- Define and enforce best practices across data modelling, CI/CD, and IaC
- Lead development of batch and real-time pipelines
- Drive standards for data quality, governance, and observability
Data Engineering & Platform Delivery
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and workflows
- Integrate data from APIs, third-party systems, and streaming platforms
- Manage orchestration, scheduling, and performance tuning
- Deliver curated datasets for analytics and BI use cases
Quality, Operations & Ownership
- Ensure data reliability through validation, reconciliation, and testing
- Own production pipelines: monitoring, alerting, and incident resolution
- Implement observability by design (logs, lineage, metrics)
- Support automated deployments and post-release validation
Leadership & Collaboration
- entor and guide data engineers across the team
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, Product & Engineering teams
- Translate business needs into scalable, technical solutions
- Contribute to hiring, standards, and continuous improvement
RequirementsMust-have
- 10+ years in Data Engineering or similar
- Strong SQL expertise
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Data Factory, and Power BI
- Proven track record building scalable, production-grade pipelines
- Solid understanding of data modelling and architecture patterns
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
- Strong system design and problem-solving ability
Nice to have
- Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)
- Infrastructure as Code experience
- Exposure to ML/data science pipelines
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance
- Prior leadership or mentoring experience
