My client based in Cape Town is currently looking for a Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis.
IT / FINANCE
Qualifications & Experience
- 4 – 7 years’ experience in Project Management within IT environments
- Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
- Solid understanding of IT concepts such as applications, infrastructure, and system integration
- Experience managing end-to-end IT project delivery across cross-functional teams
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously
- Relevant certifications advantageous (PRINCE2, PMP, Scrum Certification)
- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD environments beneficial
- Basic understanding of IT security and risk management principles advantageous
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of IT projects within agreed timelines and scope
- Plan, monitor, track, and report on project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, and approved by stakeholders
- Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, and all relevant delivery artefacts
- Coordinate activities between development teams, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders
- Identify potential risks proactively and implement mitigation plans
- Ensure project delivery aligns with quality standards and business expectations
- Provide clear and concise project reporting to leadership and stakeholders
- Monitor project performance and ensure effective communication across all teams
- Drive accountability and ensure project milestones are achieved successfully
