Duties / Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain and support secure email and messaging solutions across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Manage and troubleshoot networks, including routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs.
  • Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes and deliver effective solutions.
  • Support security measures, access controls and system configurations.
  • Provide technical guidance to users and stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation, reporting and system records.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on upgrades, migrations and installations.

Technical Requirements

  • Ideally, 4+ years relevant experience.
  • Strong ICT knowledge across email, messaging, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, DHCP and DNS.
  • Desktop and network support, administration or related technical roles.
  • Understanding of Windows, Linux and macOS environments, as well as mobile operating systems.
  • Knowledge of network security principles, hardware and monitoring tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft certifications or CompTIA Security+ advantageous.
  • Preferably Afrikaans speaking and/or an understanding of Afrikaans.

Salary
The proposed salary for the role is R20k – R30k per month – the final offer will depend on qualifications, experience and skills.
