Our client is seeking a Senior Data Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of data solutions that enable effective reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with data, developing reliable data processes, and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data solutions and processes to support business requirements
- Develop and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from multiple data sources
- Work with relational databases and SQL to extract, transform, and manipulate data
- Design and maintain data models and structured datasets to support reporting and analytics
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, quality, and reliability across data sources and solutions
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Troubleshoot complex data-related issues and optimise data processes for performance and reliability
- Design and implement data integration processes across multiple systems and data sources
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve data processing and reporting processes
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to best practices across data development activities
- Document data processes, technical solutions, and data flows to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
- 8-10+ years of overall experience in data development, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field with
- At least 5 years of strong hands-on experience working at a senior level in a data-focused role
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
- Extensive hands-on experience with ETL, data integration, and data transformation processes
- Strong experience with data modelling and developing structured datasets
- Strong understanding of data quality and data management principles
- Proven experience working with multiple data sources and integrating data for reporting and analytics purposes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience taking ownership of data development solutions from requirements through to implementation
