Senior Technical Specialist – Tungsten TotalAgility Platform
Cape Town North | Hybrid | Independent Contract
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Technical Specialist to take ownership of the design, implementation, administration, and support of a Tungsten TotalAgility platform within a complex enterprise environment.
This role is suited to a hands-on technical professional with strong infrastructure, SQL Server, Windows Server, security, and enterprise application support experience. You will play a key role in ensuring the platform remains secure, highly available, scalable, and optimised while supporting business-critical intelligent automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
- Install, configure, maintain and support Tungsten TotalAgility environments across Development, Test, Pre-Production and Production.
- Manage multi-tenant environments, upgrades, patches and platform lifecycle activities.
- Implement data retention and archiving strategies.
- Maintain platform architecture in line with enterprise standards.
- Ensure platform availability, disaster recovery readiness and failover capability.
Infrastructure & Systems
- Administer and support Windows Server environments.
- Manage enterprise servers, virtual environments and cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor capacity, scalability and system performance.
Database Administration
- Develop, maintain and optimise SQL Server queries.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimisation.
Security
- Implement and maintain security controls, authentication and access management.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support security compliance initiatives.
Configuration & Integration
- Configure TotalAgility modules including Capture, Transformation and Core Worker Services.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts, integrations and platform extensions where required.
Monitoring & Support
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.
- Proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis and incident resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Relevant Microsoft, Azure, SQL Server or AWS certifications will be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior Technical Specialist, Systems Engineer or Enterprise Platform Support role.
- Strong experience with:
- Windows Server administration
- SQL Server administration and optimisation
- Enterprise infrastructure and server support
- System security and access control
- Enterprise application deployment and configuration
- Experience supporting Tungsten TotalAgility is highly advantageous.
