Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript to drive automation excellence across enterprise platforms.
This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust automation frameworks while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions across digital systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright
- Build and execute end-to-end, regression, and integration automation suites
- Develop automation scripts using TypeScript / JavaScript
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing
- Collaborate with Developers, BAs, and Product Owners to ensure full test coverage
- Perform API, UI, and integration testing across multiple systems
- Identify, log, and manage defects using tools such as Azure DevOps
- Drive test automation best practices and standards across the QA team
- Mentor junior automation testers and contribute to QA capability uplift
Required Skills & Experience - Proven experience as a Senior Test Automation Engineer / Tester
- Strong hands-on experience with:
o
Playwright (essential)
o
TypeScript & JavaScript (essential) - Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch
- Solid experience with:
API testing (Postman / REST)
SQL for data validation
CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) - Strong understanding of:
Agile / Scrum methodologies
End-to-end testing lifecycle (STLC) - Experience with integration, regression, and system testing [Senior_Tes…escription | Outlook]
Preferred Experience - Exposure to retail, eCommerce, or supply chain systems
- Experience in microservices and event-driven architectures
- ISTQB or relevant testing certifications
- Experience with additional tools like Selenium, or Robot Framework
