Mustek has announced that revenue from continuing operations is up 10% to R1,807-billion for the half year period ending December 2012.
The Mustek Group wholly owns the Mustek and Rectron companies.
For the half-year period, headline earnings per ordinary share were up 137%, while the group reported a net asset value of 712 cents per share.
“We are strongly encouraged by this set of half year results, which shows that our strategy of expanding our basket of products and leveraging key industry partnerships, with a defined focus on specific vertical industries is proving successful. Our drive to deliver ‘turnkey’ solutions that are flexible and able to meet the evolving needs of the market is at the centre of our service offering,” says David Kan, CEO of Mustek.
The revenue growth during this period was supported strongly by the addition of the Acer and Lenovo ranges, whilst the group added to its product portfolio offering through the introduction of the Huawei Enterprise Solutions, Miniflex range of fibre cables, eBeam and Solar energy solutions.
Mustek has a solid position within the industry and through it broad national footprint and exclusive partnerships, prides itself in delivering excellent service and support, including the benefits of accessibility and availability to the market, as well as extremely competitive pricing.
“We have some exciting deals in the pipeline at present which will help us bring a strong close to a successful business year in June 2013,” says Hein Engelbrecht, MD of Mustek.
“This is exceptionally encouraging for us, considering the turbulent year within the broader IT industry. We believe that this coming year provides the ideal platform to support our provision of solutions in the mobility, cloud, security, networking and fibre arenas as we provide a significant emphasis on the education, health, security and solar energy industries.”
Looking ahead, Mustek is focused on increasing volumes as it remains a driver of performance across operations. It will continue to invest in key industry partnerships and solutions, exploring opportunities within the cloud computing, mobile and applications framework.
